Ciao! My name is Marisa and I am the owner and operator of Stellina Travel, LLC.

I started traveling to Italy as a baby when visiting my paternal grandparents and extended family in the Cilento region of Campania and Basilicata where my maternal grandmother was from. As a young adult I studied Italian language to become closer to my roots, and from there I decided it was my absolute passion. After college I moved to Rome to teach English, and I traveled all around the country exploring its endless beauty. Since moving back to the US I have been working as an Italian teacher in schools and traveling back as often as possible to visit family and friends, explore further destinations, and lead groups of students and adults up and down the boot. I’ve been to almost every region of Italy, but if I have not been there, it is definitely on my list!

I work with individuals, groups, families, couples, big or small groups (anyone!) to organize all the details of their experience. I will give you a personally customized plan tailored to your needs and interests from arrival to departure. My focus is on cultural immersion and helping you get a full experience of what Italy is all about.

Since I am a teacher at heart, I also offer lessons in Italian language and culture to help you be a bit more savvy while you’re there. Although most people you encounter in popular destinations will speak at least some English, it never hurts to have some functional language and cultural awareness before you go!
